I’m a long time OnePager Pro user but never used it on a MS Project Integrated Master File. I’ve been given one with three subprojects and can’t seem to get OnePager to recognize my flags for the tasks I’d like to display in my project view. What do I need to do?
The file was created with MS Project 2003 and I’m using MS Project 2010. I only need to show 15 tasks in the timeline out of over 300 tasks in the entire integrated master project schedule.
We’ve done some experiments here and find that the way files IMS, created with MS Project 2003, require a little different procedure than IMS file created with MS Project 2007 and 2010. Specifically, with IMS files created with MS Project 2003, we find that you must expand all the subprojects from the IMS Project before launching OnePager Pro. When all subprojects are expanded, with MS Project 2003, OnePager will “see” all the tasks and be able to process your “flag” columns.
Further, we’ve found that IMS files created with MS Project 2007 or 2010 can be processed by OnePager Pro launched from any version of MS Project (2003, 2007, or 2010).
Summary: It probably makes sense to expand all IMS subprojects before launching OnePager Pro.
